Finger Bang
Orgasmic Meditation? Therapeutic?! Kaylee Baker is horrified when her girlfriends suggest a trip to artsy Boulder, Colorado, to check out the latest craze. What her friends don’t know about Kaylee is that she is a little repressed, bordering on frigid, and the idea of a complete stranger bringing her to orgasm—therapeutic or not—is horrifying.
Blaze Donahue has admired Kaylee from afar for quite some time, and part of the reason he’s kept his distance is because he’s had no indication that she might even be interested. But when he’s given the opportunity to offer her his own version of OM with no strings attached, he makes an offer she has a hard time refusing.
When there are undeniable sparks between the two, Kaylee runs, afraid of the overwhelming feelings she has for this gorgeous, sensitive guy. Blaze feels compelled to convince her otherwise but wonders if he’ll be able to crack through the ice surrounding this sweet girl. Can they find true love or will it just be a one-time O?
“What’s the part that has you freaking out more? The fact that it would be a stranger or that you’d be paying for it?”
His question helped Kaylee relax a little. It felt like he was taking a practical approach and wanted to discuss the matter as two adults. They weren’t actually talking about orgasms or…fingers and clits, for God’s sake. So she took a deep breath and gave the matter a little thought. It didn’t take long for her to say, “I think it’s that it’s a stranger.” She didn’t know why she felt compelled to continue—especially with Blaze—but she did. “Seriously. It’s hard enough to relax and then you have someone you’ve never met before trying to make you feel good. I can’t imagine.” She smiled and rolled her eyes, hoping she appeared relaxed now, because she was far from it.
Blaze didn’t intend to help the matter at all. “What if it was you and me?”
Had she heard him right? And why the hell was her heart thudding in her chest? She had a hard time sucking in a breath, but when she was able to, she asked, “What do you mean?” Her voice was so low, she was surprised he could hear it.
“If I was the therapist.” He sat up and used the index and middle fingers of both his hands to air quote his last word. “You know…my sister, Maddy, and Shannon go to Boulder to have some stranger finger bang them, but what if someone you knew took care of you here?”
Her jaw didn’t drop to the table but she had lost all words. She just wished she could figure out if Blaze was yanking her chain or making her the offer of a lifetime.

Author’s Note
Dear Friends:
I don’t do funny that often. You know that. More often than not, I prefer gritty and raw or at least more straight-laced. I can count the number of funny (or funny-ish) books I’ve written on one hand—Everything But might qualify as well as Feverish, although neither one is full of belly laughs. The one that comes closest would be Quickies, and that’s only because of the short story “Potluck Fail.” No, instead I will sometimes inject humor in a book, but that’s not the main focus.
Well, the same can be said of Finger Bang, but I think you’ll notice right off the bat that it’s a lot more lighthearted than many of my other books. This book could not help but have humor infused within it. There was no avoiding it. What did you expect with a title like that? I knew before I even wrote it that it would be funny…and, for me, that was a much-needed break after the heart-tugging themes in Be Careful What You Wish For.
You’re probably wondering what the hell inspired me on this one. Two months ago, I had no plans to write a book like this, but Kristen of my Street Team read an article (I am not making this up) called, “Boulder is Now the Clit Tickling Capitol of the World” found in the online magazine The Rooster. (Go on—Google it. You know you want to!) She knows I go to Boulder several times a year, and we were laughing and joking about how I might want to do some research. Well, not even a scientist can figure out how my screwed up brain works, because the next thing you know, I’m writing the blurb for the book that would become Finger Bang, and just a few short days later, I’m writing the dang book. I even saw the cover in my mind as I was working through the plot in my head. It changed by the time it became a cover, but you get the idea.
Is the book a laugh a minute? No, but I hope you do enjoy some genuine funny moments. In between the gales of laughter, though, is a sweet love story, one that leads us through the journey of a young woman’s sexual awakening. Many of you read Valerie’s story in Bullet—Kaylee is much like her in that regard, but not so dark.
I hope you love it, because, as much as I like the raw stories, I also like to come up once in a while for some light and air…and I hope you do too.
Rock on!

Chapter One
KAYLEE BAKER SAT in the booth, pressed up against the wall, next to her friend Maddy. Across from them were their other two friends and roommates, Rachel and Shannon. As much as she loved these young women, Kaylee sometimes felt a little out of place with them. Tonight, however, they were pressuring her to have just one little drink to loosen her up.
On the way there, in fact, bubbly blonde Maddy had elbowed Kaylee in the ribs next to her in the car. “You are going to let your hair down tonight, even if I have to hold you down and pour a beer down your throat.” She’d seen the horrified expression on Kaylee’s face and said, “Aw, c’mon, Kay. You don’t think I’d really force you to drink, do you?”
No, Kaylee hoped Maddy wouldn’t actually force alcohol down her throat, but her friend had done things almost as bad…and definitely more horrifying. The second semester of their freshman year at UCCS, Maddy had set Kaylee up on a blind double date, not telling her about it until the two of them were in the car with the guys on the way to dinner.
Yeah, now that she thought about it, Kaylee wouldn’t put anything past Maddy.
However, unlike Maddy, they also had Rational Rachel with them. Even should Maddy decide to be totally crazy, Rachel would put a stop to it. Rachel wasn’t older than any of her roommates, but she’d always seemed like it. She was ever the voice of reason, and whenever Kaylee felt uncomfortable, she appealed to Rachel, who would usually talk sense into their group of four.
Tonight was a huge exception, though. In fact, Rachel was the one going nuts, and Kaylee was convinced the woman was completely out of her mind. Her almost-black hair was piled on back of her head in a bun-like fashion, but it was messy. It looked great, though. Rational Rachel was enjoying herself immensely. Her green eyes sparkled when she talked, and her arms were animated as she jabbered a million miles a minute. Kaylee knew that, tonight of all nights, Rachel might not be an ally when it came to talking sense to the other females.
So Kaylee kept her mouth shut and sipped on the drink in front of her—an amaretto sour, she thought Shannon had said. Fortunately, Maddy wasn’t pressuring her to drink more of the amaretto than the glass of water she’d also requested. Kaylee saw that tonight, though, she had no allies, and now she was kicking herself, wondering why she hadn’t stayed home, feigning homework woes, instead of going out with these crazy gals.
Why? Because her life would be completely boring if not.
Kaylee was the quiet one, and she had every reason to be. There was nothing spectacular about her—brown hair, green eyes, pale skin. Oh, but it wasn’t beautiful porcelain skin. No, it was marred with freckles on her arms, and the freckles on her face had only disappeared since sometime in high school. She was able to make her complexion look better with foundation, but she knew she wasn’t destined to be a model anytime soon. And she wasn’t petite. She was just short, of average build…except one thing.
She had the biggest boobs out of all her friends.
Yes, folks, Kaylee, the girl who preferred to remain silent in the background, had lovely D tits, and that was why she’d spent most of high school walking with her books carried across her chest as though they were armor. She could have avoided most attention if her breasts had been a more normal size. They weren’t disproportionate—she didn’t look like a freak. She just felt uncomfortable and out of place and knew people (okay, guys) noticed.
So, not only did Kaylee prefer to be quiet and only speak when spoken to, she also liked observing most people rather than interacting. People behaved in her mind—they were polite, friendly, and predictable. Real life, though, was where people were assholes—rude, mean, conniving…and she wanted nothing to do with them if she could help it. Yes, Kaylee had the requisite amount of friends, and she loved them, but the rest of the world she kept at a distance. It was safer that way.
And that’s why Kaylee sat in the bar in the booth with Maddy on one side and the wall on the other, nursing a drink while swigging a glass of water.
Shannon, another boisterous young woman, was probably the most fun of the group. It could be argued that Maddy won that title, but Shannon rarely did anything that wasn’t grabbing attention for herself. Shannon would be graduating that May with a business degree. Yes, a business degree, but she had a minor in theater, and that was because she was a hell of an actress. More than that, though, she was a larger-than-life personality, from her red hair to her model height. Her presence demanded attention, but she wasn’t overbearing or untouchable. The woman was pure, unadulterated fun, but Kaylee appreciated that her fun was never at others’ expense.
Okay, at Kaylee’s expense, because Kaylee often felt out of her element as it was.
Tonight so far, though, was a contender for the most uncomfortable night ever. Kaylee squinted, wondering if she’d already had too much to drink, as she listened to what Rachel was saying. Kaylee realized part of it might have been that she was missing some of what the other woman was saying—after all, it was loud in that bar.
Rachel had started the conversation talking about masturbating, a subject Kaylee didn’t feel at ease with anyway, but she was being loud and Kaylee was afraid other people were going to start listening in. Shannon was encouraging her, though, and that was when Rachel said, “Seriously, ladies. When will we admit that we like sex—including rubbing one out—as much as men?”
Shannon raised her glass. “I have no problems admitting it!”
Maddy raised her glass to toast Shannon. “Oh, I guess I have some catching up to do. I thought it was a dirty, dark secret!”
Shannon and Rachel laughed. Maddy was the least quiet in their group about her sex life, and the idea of her keeping anything sexual secret was hilarious. Kaylee held her glass up in a toast but said nothing. If she played along, they wouldn’t drag her into something even more embarrassing.
Rachel put down her glass and leaned over the table. Clearly, the woman had already had enough to drink to feel relaxed. “This is going somewhere, believe it or not. Have any of you heard of orgasmic meditation?”
Maddy spat out part of her drink back into her glass and then started laughing. Shannon’s eyes grew wide. She too was smiling but also curious. Kaylee took her usual posture—she wasn’t going to say anything, thereby inviting teasing or forcing her to talk about her nonexistent sex life…including the fact that she didn’t masturbate, and that made her feel weird.
Yes. She had never—as in never, ever—masturbated.
Kaylee was raised in a strict Christian household. Her parents had never flat out told her masturbation was wrong…but they sure as hell let her believe it and never told her it was okay. They had told her sex outside of marriage was a sin, but her mother pulled her aside later and told her it was okay to test drive a car if you really loved it.
Ugh. No wonder Kaylee felt better clinging to the wall and not drawing attention to herself.
Maddy, having caught her breath, said, “What the fuck is orgasmic meditation, and where do I get myself some?”
Rachel grinned, her eyes sparkling, and stood. She pointed her finger, and Kaylee was surprised her friend wasn’t slurring. “I’m getting to that.” Rachel waved to the guy near the bar, the guy who’d been fetching drinks all night. It was clear that the man wasn’t used to serving drinks, probably more comfortable tending bar, but he was doing the best he could. It seemed to be a demanding crowd that night. When the guy made it to the table, Rachel said, “We need another round, please.” Then she looped her finger in the guy’s collar before he could turn around to do her bidding. “I’ll make it worth your while.”
He chuckled nervously and skittered off to fetch their drinks. Maddy said, “Would you spill it already?”
Rachel rolled her eyes, but it was evident that she was enjoying the buildup…much like she would have a delicious climb to orgasm. “Ladies, orgasmic meditation sounds like something we all need to try.”
Kaylee could feel herself slouching in th
e booth, wishing she was anywhere but there. She did not want to talk about sex with her friends, especially if the talk was going to center around orgasms. She thought maybe once she might have had an orgasm before, but she wasn’t sure. And it wasn’t a big deal. Yeah, sure, she liked the way a guy’s dick felt inside her, but it wasn’t something she wanted to talk about.
No way.
Rachel wasn’t waiting for anyone to keep up. “I read an article on it earlier today, so then I Googled it. Have any of you ever heard of tantric sex?” Shannon nodded her head but Maddy said no. Kaylee shook her head, but Rachel was already storming the castle. “Well, the concept is similar. It’s all Buddhist and higher level and stuff…but it’s fucking orgasms, you know? I mean…that shit’s insane! And to have someone doing it to you without expecting a blowjob in return?” She laughed. “I am so there.”
Maddy laughed along with her friend but then said, “Doesn’t that just make the person bringing it on an overpaid pretentious whore?”
“You would think so, but no. They are totally serious about it. You even keep your shirt on! They say they want to remove the goal—you know, that you have to orgasm. It’s more about the experience, focusing on the sensations. And it’s fifteen minutes. That’s it. And then you talk about it.”
Shannon burst out laughing. “You talk about it? What?! ‘Baby, was it good for you’?”
Rachel giggled. “No. Maybe. I don’t know!” The poor waiter handed Rachel her new drink and she donned a lustful smile. The alcohol was definitely talking. “Thank you so much. I will be tracking you down later. I want to stuff a tip down your pants.”
He smiled again, and Kaylee could see he was nervous. She thought he must have imagined Rachel as a jaguar, and if she got anywhere near him on the open plain, she’d chase his ass, knock him down, and tear into his flesh.
Kaylee suspected Rachel just might consider it. The girl got horny when she drank, and her lips got loose to boot, so her sex life (or want of one) was not a secret when she was imbibing.
Rachel said, “We are going to Boulder next week. We have to do this.”
